Business Digitalization: The Case of Teixits Vicens with the Xpande Digital Program

At Teixits Vicens, we have been weaving stories for generations. Every thread, every design and every piece that leaves our looms is part of a tradition passed down through skilled hands to new generations, keeping the essence of Mallorcan ikat alive.

But like everything that is alive, we also feel the need to evolve.

In recent years, we have seen how the world is changing, how the ways in which people discover, appreciate and purchase products are transforming. And we realised that if we wanted to continue sharing our story, we needed to learn how to tell it in the digital environment as well.

That is where a new chapter began for us.

Advancing our digital transformation with the Xpande Digital programme

At Teixits Vicens, we have always believed in the importance of evolving without losing our essence. As a family business with a long tradition of crafting textiles in Mallorca, we know that combining heritage and future is key to continued growth.

Along this journey, we have had the opportunity to take an important step in our digital transformation thanks to the support of initiatives that boost the competitiveness of SMEs.

We have been beneficiaries of European Funds, whose objective is to strengthen sustainable growth and the competitiveness of SMEs. Thanks to this support, we have launched an Action Plan aimed at improving our competitiveness through digital transformation, online promotion and e-commerce in international markets during 2024/2025.

To achieve this, we have received support from the Xpande Digital Programme of the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce.

An opportunity to grow in the digital environment

Being part of the Xpande Digital programme has meant much more than financial support for us: it has been an opportunity to analyse our online presence, define a clear strategy and move towards new markets.

Programmes like this enable companies such as ours to adapt to an increasingly digital environment, improving key aspects such as visibility, positioning and the ability to reach international customers.

Tradition and digitalisation, hand in hand

At Teixits Vicens, we work every day to preserve the technique of Mallorcan ikat, a handcrafted process that forms part of our identity. Embracing digitalisation does not mean leaving this tradition behind; quite the opposite—it allows us to share it with the world.

Thanks to this momentum, we can strengthen our online presence and bring our textiles to new audiences, always maintaining the value of craftsmanship and respect for traditional processes.

Looking ahead

This Action Plan for 2024/2025 marks a new stage for us. We continue to work towards improvement, innovation and adaptation, with the aim of always offering the highest quality and best experience to our customers, both locally and internationally.

Programmes such as Xpande Digital demonstrate that, with the right support, SMEs can continue to grow sustainably, combining the best of our heritage with the opportunities of the future.

Textile accessories for organising handbags and drawers

The beginning of a new year invites us to pause and take a fresh look at the spaces we live in. To set resolutions that promise to make our lives better. After the festivities, restoring order at home becomes, for many people, a small act of care: for the home, for the objects we use every day, and for ourselves.

On this path towards a more mindful life, textile organisers play an essential role. They are simple, well-made pieces, designed to last, that help us organise handbags and drawers without sacrificing beauty or functionality.

The value of organising the small things

Handbags and drawers hold what accompanies us daily: keys, purses, notebooks, make-up, cables, small keepsakes or those things we do not quite know where to put and end up accumulating sine die. When these objects do not have a place of their own, disorder appears almost without us noticing.

Organising these spaces with textile accessories allows us to create a calmer relationship with everyday life. It is not about having more, but about choosing better and giving everything its place.

How to organise handbags in a practical and long-lasting way

A well-organised handbag makes daily routines easier and helps keep it in good condition for longer. Some simple ideas:

These pieces make it easy to change handbags and maintain order effortlessly, keeping pace with everyday life.

Tidy drawers, spaces that can breathe

Drawers are one of the places where objects most easily accumulate. Using textile organisers helps divide the space in a flexible and natural way:

  • Small fabric bags to group accessories or delicate textiles.
  • Cases for cables, chargers or frequently used small items.
  • Wash bags to keep order in bathroom or bedroom drawers.

The result is an order at home that lasts over time, without rigidity or artificial solutions.

Mindful organisation: choosing pieces that last

For Teixits Vicens, organising is also a way of consuming consciously. Choosing handcrafted textile accessories, made with quality materials and designed for long-term use, is a way of caring for the environment and valuing well-made work.

These are objects that do not follow passing fashions, but accompany us for years, adapting to different stages and needs. Beauty also belongs in the most private parts of our homes.

Order as an everyday gesture

Beyond a one-off resolution, order is built through small daily habits. Surrounding ourselves with useful, pleasing and durable pieces turns organisation into a natural, almost invisible gesture.

Starting the year with order is not about perfection, but about attention: knowing what we have, how we use it and why we choose it. A simple resolution that transforms the way we inhabit our everyday lives.
