TEIXITS VICENS FINALIST IN THE NATIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARDS

The 14th edition of the Awards has received 116 applications from all over Spain and Teixits Vicens is among the three finalists for the National Craft Award.

From Teixits Vicens, we feel very honored and proud to be among the three finalists to win the National Craft Prize awarded by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism through EOI and its Fundesarte chair.

The objective of this area is to promote handicrafts and contribute to the development and competitiveness of SMEs in the artisan sector, as well as to encourage innovation, design and their ability to adapt to the market.

This award is intended to recognize a consolidated work as a whole. At Teixits Vicens, today, we work the fourth and fifth generation. We follow in the wake of the family saga creating new drawings and colors and overcoming objectives and challenges in terms of design and creation of new projects.

Finding the balance between artisan work and the new technological-social tools, which emerged in the 20th century, is a challenge that we don’t want to miss.

The human team that makes up the company is young people who have learned the trade and feel very involved with the work they do and what they contribute to society as a sustainable trade.

Martí Vicens’ profession as a master craftsman, and in parallel his career as an artist, have created a cultural heritage inside and outside the company. Together with his wife Antònia Capllonch, they were the third generation and the key for this company to continue to exist today, that’s why we can celebrate a recognition like this at a national and international level.
