Last Semester, Teixits Vicens “granted” student Joan Morell collaborating with ikat fabrics for his final industrial design project at Escola Superior de Disseny in Palma de Mallorca.

He´s designed a convertible bed sofa made in wood and fabric only. It does not have any screw but wooden pieces that you can easily remove in order to take apart all the pieces and storage it all.

He got an A*

Nowadays, he´s  at Bd Barcelona doing his practises.

Last Summer, Joanne visited Teixits Vicens in Mallorca looking for ikat handmade fabrics.

She spent the last year designing these soft furniture pieces specifically for the Ikat, with removable covers for washing. The ottoman and low seats are  filled with organic cotton.

Colombian born fashion designer Kika Vargas has been nurture in New York, Miami and her birthplace, Bogotá.

Kika began her first industry job as womenswear designer at the higly regarded and well-respected designer brand Missoni.

Kikas´s desire to  design her own fashion house became a reality in 2010, when she moved back to Colombia to launch S/S11 collection.

Her unique style, quickly earned her a strong following of Colombian celebrities and society girls. She has become a reference point to the media.

Kika Vargas brings her collection back to its creative home of New York to launch it on the international stage.

Last Summer, Kika visited Teixits Vicens workshop and selected some of our handmade  ikat fabrics to launch a new collection.

We love the result!

Artist Toni Garau from Sóller recently anounced his new collaboration with Teixits Vicens.

His pictures are created with threats from an old textile factory from Sóller. He´s now just about to start a new project mixing those threats with ours.

You will find Teixits Vicens´new collection in our new shop in Pollença on the Calvario stairs and also in the workshop & shop in Rotonda Can Berenguer.

Ikat espadrilles for men& women and comfortable platfomrs for women.

Teixits Vicens has opened a new shop in the center of Pollença, right on the stairs of ” El Calvari”, a must if you go to Pollença.

The shop is next to Martí Vicens Museum, an incredible collection of  Teixits Vicens´s artist that you can visit for free. Worth to see it!

Both opened from Tues to Fry from 10am till 2pm & from 3:30pm till 7pm.

Sundays from 10am till 2pm

Mondays & Saturdays closed.
