These unique pieces capture the essence and tradition that have been driving our work since 1854. Our Mediterranean roots and history are pivotal in everything we do.

Ikat fabrics are the centre piece of this furniture collection, where Ikat reaches its fullest potential. Tomas Lopez Amat has designed an outstanding collection inspired by the ancient natural stone walls from Mallorca; an art as old as weaving.

These pieces are the result of both research and innovation applied to fabrics, that you will notice in the finishing of the tables surface, for instance. The result is a unique balance of craftsmanship and design, where tradition meets innovation.

A few days ago we were visited by the guys from INSELRADIO MALLORCA, the German station that broadcasts on the island and they made us a nice report showing how a day of work is in our workshop. The German magazine PRESTIGE DARMSTADT in the spring issue of 2018 has made an extensive report, in which it explains to its readers, the trajectory of Teixits Vicens and the craftsmanship that we develop. Last March 15 we had a very special visit. The girls and boys of 1st grade of the school Costa i Llobera of Pollença came to our workshop to discover the secrets of how a fabric is made. During the tour they were snooping to know everything. They were exploring all the steps that are followed to manufacture the fabric. At the end of the visit, a surprise awaited them: They played to be a craftsmen with an old loom. This experience inspired them to take their most creative side and realize their great work: a “collage” with the scraps fabrics of Teixits Vicens.
