Last March 15 we had a very special visit. The girls and boys of 1st grade of the school Costa i Llobera of Pollença came to our workshop to discover the secrets of how a fabric is made. During the tour they were snooping to know everything. They were exploring all the steps that are followed to manufacture the fabric. At the end of the visit, a surprise awaited them: They played to be a craftsmen with an old loom. This experience inspired them to take their most creative side and realize their great work: a “collage” with the scraps fabrics of Teixits Vicens.

Many thanks to the teachers who thought of us to carry out such a fun and educational activity.

The director wore a black suit with an Ikat fabric bow tie from TEIXITS VICENS.

The director Jaume Carrió and the scriptwriter Laura Gost picked up the Goya prize for the best animated short film, in the 32nd edition of these awards.

Woody & Woody, is a tribute to the filmography of Woody Allen. The short film is based on a work of micro theater, by screenwriter Laura Gost. A dialogue between the famous director of thirty years and himself with eighty years is the plot of the work.

At Teixits Vicens we have been turning Mallorca’s essence into fabric since 1854! Already 4 generations of our family have been in the workshop and we always seek to adapt our work to new times without losing the quality that characterizes us and following the tradition.

Today we are happy to introduce our new brand image designed by Atlas design. It reflects the basic part of the process of creating our ikat fabrics, the precision to measure the spaces of dyed yarn and the parts that remain in white cotton. We hope you like it as much as we do!

 

Teixits Vicens continued exhibiting its creations at the London Design Fair. The most important event in the London DESIGN WEEK. At the fair meet the most important designers and interior designers in the world. Who visit our stand will find a collection of fabrics handcrafted with the Ikat technique. You will also be able to discover the versatility of our fabrics in different products like bags, accessories and clothes for the house.

The TEIXITS VICENS stand is characterized by an explosion of colors that transports the Mediterranean.

From September 21 to 24, the LONDON DESIGNE FAIR, brings together 500 exhibitors from different countries, including TEIXITS VICENS. The fair has reserved an exclusive space for handicrafts “Made In Mallorca”. Together with other artisan companies: Atlas, Feyna, Huguet i Menestralia, TEIXITS VICENS shares a stand and presents its fabrics made with the Ikat technique.
